Tax registration, business cards, brochures and a new phone line: the official first steps of Ana Kurye.

Today was one of the most exciting days of my life. When I got on my motorcycle in the morning, my hands were shaking. Even the camera felt hard to keep steady, because I was about to do something I had dreamed of for years.

It was the first day of the courier company I had founded. The tax registration would be completed, business cards would be printed, brochures would be prepared and the new phone line would be opened. In short, Ana Kurye was becoming official.

I hope this works. I hope it becomes successful.

Where the name Ana Kurye comes from

Many readers ask where the name Ana Kurye comes from. I am a mother, but for me the word “Ana” means more than motherhood. It means foundation, roots, trust and taking care of what is given to you.

That is why I chose this name for a brand that would provide courier service in Istanbul. I wanted documents, packages, samples and important deliveries to be handled with the sensitivity of someone who truly takes responsibility.

I had built businesses before

Entrepreneurship was not new to me. I opened my first business when I was 23. I tried different commercial projects, delivered heavy water bottles, hired staff, made mistakes, lost money and started again.

For years I did not feel ready to build another company. Then I realised that some businesses can begin with a motorcycle, a phone, a website and the discipline to work every day.

Tax registration, print shop and first steps

Starting a company takes longer than it looks from the outside. Accounting, tax registration, a business phone line, business cards, brochures and official paperwork all take time.

When I went to pick up the business cards, I felt something difficult to describe. It was not just a card in my hand. It was a dream becoming visible.

Starting a courier company in Istanbul

Many people think starting a courier company in Istanbul is only about buying a motorcycle. That is only the visible part. The real work is finding customers, building trust, organising operations, creating a courier network and managing delivery promises.

People do not only hand you a package. Sometimes it is a document courier job, sometimes an urgent courier request, sometimes a medical sample or a pharmacy product that needs careful pickup and delivery.

What comes next

After the business cards, the next goal was marketing. I would visit businesses in Istanbul, speak with corporate customers and explain our motorcycle courier, document courier, pharmacy courier and same day delivery solutions.

I also wanted English speaking courier support to be visible for international customers, because clear communication is part of trust.
