There are days when building a company feels less like a polished business plan and more like walking into one more shop, introducing yourself, and hoping people will listen. This was one of those days.
I went into an industrial area alone with Ana Kurye brochures in my hand. I was not there to deliver a package. I was there to explain who we are, what kind of courier support we provide, and why local businesses can trust us when a document, part, sample or urgent package has to move fast.
A courier company is not built only online. Sometimes it starts with the courage to knock on the first door.
Why field marketing matters for a courier company
A website matters. Social media matters. But in a city like Istanbul, trust is still built face to face. Many workshops and small businesses want to know who will answer the phone, who will collect the package, and whether the courier company will be reachable when something is urgent.
That is why I went into the industrial area myself. I wanted to speak with real shop owners, explain courier service in Istanbul, and understand what businesses actually need from a local courier partner.
Standing there as a female founder
Industrial areas can feel intense from the outside: noise, tools, vehicles, deadlines and constant movement. Walking into that environment as a female founder on a motorcycle is not something everyone expects to see.
But that visibility is part of the Ana Kurye story. I do not want to build a brand only from behind a screen. I want to understand the streets, the workshops, the offices and the people who may one day need an urgent courier in Istanbul.
What I learned from walking door to door
Every conversation taught me something. Some people were busy and had only a few seconds. Some asked practical questions about timing, prices and routes. Some immediately understood the value of a courier service that can handle documents, parts, samples and same-day delivery requests.
Field marketing reminded me that people do not buy only speed. They buy reliability, clear communication and the feeling that someone will take responsibility for the job.
Ana Kurye will grow from the field
I returned tired, but not discouraged. Even if every brochure does not become a customer on the same day, every honest conversation makes the brand a little more visible.
Ana Kurye will grow by combining digital presence with real field work: same-day courier, document delivery, pharmacy pickup support, airport courier requests and English-speaking coordination for people who need help in Istanbul.
